Why this tool stays in the browser

Base64 encode or decode text in the page for data URLs, basic auth toys, and wire payloads you should not paste into a random encoder. Image-to-Base64 lives next door when the input is a file. URL encoding is a different tool — percent-encoding is not Base64. Everything here is local.

FAQ

Is Base64 encryption?
No. It is encoding. Anyone can decode it. Use it for transport, not secrecy.
Does this upload the string?
No. Encode and decode run in the browser.
What about images?
Use Image to Base64 in this sandbox when the source is a file, not a string.
