Why this tool stays in the browser
Encode or decode URL components in the browser when a query param has spaces, unicode, or reserved characters. This is not Base64 and not HTML entities — those are neighboring tools. Use Query String Builder when you are assembling many keys, not escaping one value. No request is made; the string stays in the tab.

FAQ
- Encode vs decode?
- Encode turns reserved characters into percent-sequences. Decode reverses that. Both run locally.
- Is this the same as Base64?
- No. Use the Base64 tool for that alphabet. This page is percent-encoding for URLs.
- Can I build a full query string?
- Use Query String Builder when you have many keys; use this for a single value.
